Helen Mirren, 64, is among world`s ten most beautiful women
The British actress came sixth on the list compiled by fashion expert Sally Allen, who spent a year monitoring press cuttings and video footage to assemble the chart. Helen is not the only woman over 60 in the poll - Sophia Loren, 75, and Catherine Deneuve, 66, also appear, in tenth and fifth place respectively.
The youngest woman on the list is 34-year-old Charlize Theron, who came seventh, following by Penelope Cruz, 36, who came first.
Allen did not include any younger women in the list because she thinks women only prove their "beauty" when they turn 30. At this age, "prettiness" starts to fade, with Allen explaining true good looks only improve with age.
She says all the women on her list look elegant and graceful no matter what they are wearing or how old they are, making them truly beautiful.
"Sometimes they are caught without their make-up, on bad hair days, or in less than flattering poses, but their natural beauty always seems to shine through," she told British newspaper The Daily Mail.
"There is no question in my mind that Penelope Cruz is a worthy winner. She was an undoubtedly pretty girl when she started her acting career at 16 but, 20 years later, she has matured into a particularly beautiful woman and a fine actress.
"As someone once said, the difference between pretty and beautiful is that pretty is temporal, whereas beautiful is eternal."
After compiling her list from her media research, Allen shared her findings with 1,200 young men and 80% of them agreed with her choices.
